Best Austin Patios to Wine & Dine

Living in Austin is the perfect combination of inner-city life and outdoor activity, and with the 85-degree temperatures we’ve been having lately, what better way to enjoy the day than sitting on a lovely patio with a marg in hand?

We’ve been running around town scoping out the best outdoor spots and we’ve compiled our favorite Austin patios you need to try before it’s too cold… even if you just do it for the ‘gram.

Fareground Austin

Go hang out at Fareground’s spacious downtown patio after work with drinks from the bar and bites from Henbit, Contigo, Dai Due, Ni-Kome, Antonelli’s Cheese Shop, or Easy Tiger. Fareground is open until 10pm.

111 Congress Ave, faregroundaustin.com

Come for the cat cups (the painkiller) and stay for the chicken hearts – yes, we said chicken hearts. Don’t be fooled because this shit’s good – trust us. Also, the puff, puff, pass is a solid drank too.

2713 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702, kemuri-tatsuya.com

Ah Sing Den brunch

Sip on craft cocktails and nibble on appetizers in Ah Sing Den’s Asian-inspired back patio.

1100 E 6th St, ahsingden.com

Bearpaw Koko

Mozart’s is still one of my favorite spots in Austin to sit back and enjoy the view of Lake Austin.

3825 Lake Austin Blvd, mozartscoffee.com

Dine on Southeast cuisine at Soursop while downing a couple of beers from St Elmo Brewing Company. The patio is dog-friendly so bring your furry friends!

440 E Saint Elmo Rd Ste G2, soursopaustin.com

Fresa's - South First

An Austin staple, now with a spacious brick and mortar, come with a group and go for the avocado margarita – add queso, guac, and all the brussels sprouts.

1703 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78704, fresaschicken.com/south-first/

Hotel San Jose

A quaint, almost hidden gem off South Congress – we come for the frosé but stay for the zen vibes.

MN 78703, 1316 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704, sanjosehotel.com

Josephine House

Delicious in all it’s glory, step away from the city and have a drink with friends. This spot is ideal for anytime of the day, especially breakfast. And if you get cold (lol), they’ve got blankets.

1601 Waterston Ave, Austin, TX 78703, josephineofaustin.com

Justine's Brasserie

Talk about chic – the steak and frites is the “it crowd” thing to eat, but their wine is also on point. Snag a table early in the evening to avoid a wait.

4710 E 5th St, Austin, TX 78702, justines1937.com

Contigo Austin

Channel your southern vibes and head down Manor Rd. for a solid outdoor experience. Dog-friendly, so bring the pups to soak up the sun as well.

2027 Anchor Ln, Austin, TX 78723, contigotexas.com

Remove yourself from the city life and sit on the prettiest porch in town. Now serving a new spring menu, grab a drink and some deviled eggs for a good time.

Irene’s has the biggest backyard on West 6th street with my favorite avocado toast in Austin.

506 West Ave, Austin, TX 78701, irenesaustin.com

Tillery Place

Cocktails and nibbles with a gorgeous backyard overlooking the river.

3201 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702, tilleryatx.com

Hide from the heat at Lenior’s wine garden with happy hour from Tuesday to Sunday from 5 – 6:30pm. Roasted cauliflower, corn hush pups, taco of the day, butternut squash rye bread, and half off botltes of wine + cider.

1807 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78704, lenoirrestaurant.com

Put on your cowboy boots and go to Jacoby’s ranch-to-table dining experience on East Austin overlooking the Colorado River. P.S. they have bunnies in the backyard!

Perla's Restaurant Austin

If you don’t like seafood this is not the spot for you, but if you love twinkle lit patios and really good everything else then give it a try.

Healthy Cocktails & Farm-to-Table Salads At Vinaigrette Austin

It’s bikini season so naturally you want something a little lighter on your plate. With cocktails made from fresh pressed juice and just about every salad you could ever imagine, enjoy this patio with a guilt free smile knowing you’re kinda, sorta doing something good for your body.

Boiler Nine Patio

Coming in hot with multiple levels (4 floors to be specific) – Boiler Nine is great for a rooftop, patio situation. With city views and a nice breeze (most days), you can expect good drinks and even better conversation.

800 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701, boilernine.com

Lucky Robot

Not so much a patio as an outdoor seating area, Lucky Robot is where it’s at for people watching on South Congress. Grab some brussels sprouts to share and post up as the sun sets.

1303 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704, luckyrobotrestaurant.com

In a city where rooftops rule – Parkside is the perfect place to drunk-people watch on dirty from a healthy distance. Head there for delicious appetizers and/or a post-work pregame before migrating out into the streets of 6th.

301 E 6th St, Austin, TX 78701, parkside-austin.com

La Condesa Brunch

La Condesa is basically the reason why we come here but the queso flameado isn’t half bad either. The bar area is where we hang for happy hour but their extended patio is on point too.

400A West 2nd Street Austin, TX 78701, lacondesa.com
