Table of Contents
Central Austin
Hank’s – this is one of my favorite coffee shops in Austin because the coffee is so good, space is beautifully designed, and there’s lots of parking! I like getting the cafe o lait here.
Civil Goat Coffee Roasters – this is the second location of Civil Goat minus Butters the goat. The acai bowls, Cuerny Sam (2 egg omelet dressed with Cholula and honey on a toasted croissant), and their roasted coffee are really good. There is a parking lot here.
Merit Coffee – at the top of my coffee list is Merit Coffee. The lattes, cappuccinos, and pour-overs, all made with their own roastery’s beans, are perfect and popular.
Bennu Coffee – I’ve spent too many late nights at Bennu when I was a student at UT Austin – it’s open 24/7 and has a roastery on-site!
East Austin
Desnudo Coffee – this tiny coffee trailer parked at Veracruz is viral for a reason. The brothers who own it are super sweet and very passionate about their coffee and the coffee is amazing
Mercado Sin Nombre – this Mexico-City inspired cafe in East Austin celebrates heirloom corn and speciality Mexican Coffee and incredible pastries. The masa twinkle has been even recognized by Bon Appetit – comes in a blue corn masa filled with a Mexican chocolate ganache or classic yellow masa (my fav) with a orange buttercream. If you’re more of a savory person, get the biscuit sandwich. The masa pancakes are next on my list. Mercado Sin Nombre is known for the atole cortado with pilocillo and masa milk. If you don’t like coffee, the tomate ‘pache (tomato agua fresca) was actually really good.
Civil Goat – no Butters (the goat) at this location but super cute interior and dog-friendly patio. Love their acai bowls and croissant sandwich.
Cosmic Satillo – Cosmic Coffee has opened their East Austin location and it’s HUGE with a taqueria
Cenote – iconic Austin coffee shop that’s in a cute little bungalow house on Ceasar Chavez with coffee and food. (wi fi is hit or miss) (1010 E Cesar Chavez St)
Houndstooth Coffee – Houndstooth has several locations in Austin but the East Austin location on MLK is my favorite because it’s spacious and they serve cocktails at this location. The coffee is pricey but the lattes and cappuccinos are really good and the MLK has strong wi fi.

Palamino – also by the same owner of Flat Track Coffee but with a cute minimal aesthetic with plants
