Austin is one of the most dog-friendly cities so I had to put together a guide on the best dog-friendly restaurants in Austin that’s approved by Basil!

Sawyer & Co

Sawyer & Co has one of the cutest dog-friendly patios in Austin with their retro turquoise chairs. Basil and I had weekend brunch there last weekend and loved it! 

Right now they’re offering these cute to-go cocktails – I ordered two at the end of my meal to drink at home!

Hours: 10 AM – 8 PM, closed Tuesdays

Happy Hour: dine-in for happy hour from 3:30pm – 6:30pm for food and drink specials!

Eastciders

Austin Eastciders just opened up their first restaurant on Barton Springs with a huge dog-friendly patio! Stay and dine or get food and a 6-pack to-go for Zilker Park.

Hours: Mon – Fri 7:30am, Sat/Sun 8:30am Close: Sun – Thurs 10pm, Fri/Sat: 11pm. Happy Hour: Mon-Thurs at 2pm-5pm.

Happy hour: Monday – Thursday from 2pm – 5pm and $4 cider pints and $5 select appetizers.

 Grizzelda's brunch - best dog friendly restaurants in Austin

Grizzelda’s

Basil and I have been to Grizzelda’s many many times for a Tex-Mex dinner and for Sunday brunch. The staff always brings him a big water bowl!

Loro

Loro has the largest outdoor patio on South Lamar so I had to add it to my list of best dog friendly restaurants in Austin. The patio is perfect for snacking and sipping boozy slushees.

The dog-friendly patio at Bar Peached is nicely shaded thanks to the huge heritage tree and plenty of fans. Come for the happy hour vibes.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Austin is Cosmic Coffee on South Congress with a large dog-friendly and kid-friendly patio, craft beer brews, chicken coop, and pond. They also have several food trucks parked in their yard:

Black’s BBQ has a small outdoor area with a couple of picnic tables. I was craving a brisket sandwich so we had dinner at Black’s last month.

Banger’s on Rainey Street has probably the biggest outdoor seating area in Austin with a doggy pen for your furry friend while you devour their meatastic brunch with over 100 beers on tap and the manmosa while listening to live music.

This spot often has fun fun drink features and merch for you and your pup to enjoy as well (try the frozen lemonade!). They also host activities for you and your dog to enjoy together like the annual Puppy Bowl, holiday pawtrait photo booths, fundraising events for dog-related causes and more.
