Best Margaritas In Austin

Austin’s margarita scene is having its biggest moment of the year — Margarita May 2026 kicks off May 1 with 14 of the city’s top bars and restaurants pouring 50% off specialty margaritas all month, and Cinco de Mayo brings half-off carafes, $5 deals, and mariachi bands across town. I updated this guide for 2026 to add the Cinco specials, the Margarita May lineup, and the spots that have leveled up Austin’s margarita game in the last few years.

One of my favorite Margarita May stops downtown — Caroline’s “Keep Austin Guava’d” margarita is bright, tart, and ~$7 at 50% off all month. The lobby-bar setting at the AC Hotel is a great pre-dinner perch.

Brand-new West Campus rooftop with skyline views and the Mangonada Tango — a tequila + mango + chamoy margarita that drinks like dessert. Cinco-de-Mayo-ish events all month.
