Eastside Tavern’s loaded fries might send you into a food coma – they’re topped with pulled pork, cheddar, pickled onions and house BBQ. Wash it down with a couple of glasses of frosé!

The trash fries at Holy Roller are practically a meal in itself – sunny egg, gravy, sour cream, corn, lime, and cotija. Pair that with the heretic (Jagermeister, I know sounds gross but it’s soo smooth).

Why have fries when you can have chowda fries with clams, leeks, and bacon at Salt Trader’s. That’s the Pepe’s hibiscus paloma in the background if you’re wondering.

PEACHED TORTILLA
Social hour at Peached Tortilla means $5 crispy fries with a 45-minute egg and $5 cocktails like the margarita de peached. I didn’t make it to happy hour for this photo so pictured above is the bacon jam fries.

NATIVE HOSTEL
Native takes it up a notch with their waffle fry nachos – queso, tomato, red onion, serranos, cilantro, sour cream, and your choice of brisket or seitan chorizo. Add the mez-can martini and you’ll be good to go. You might as well book an overnight stay while you’re there. It’s only $49 a night right now at Native.

CLARK’S OYSTER BAR
Clark’s shoestring fries ($8) are easily my favorite fries in Austin. Add their pan roasted black angus hamburger to that for $9 during happy hour ((Monday – Friday from 3 – 6pm) makes it the best deal in town.

And we can’t forget about Parkside’s highly addictive parkside fries with garlic and shallot. Happy hour is every Monday through Friday from 5 – 6:30pm with 1/2 off all cocktails, beer and bar food!
