Austin’s hottest new hangout happens to also be the most affordable staycation in town right now. Native Hostel just opened in East Austin on 4th street is offering a summer special of only $49 a night until August 31. Yeah, seriously $49. That’s cheaper than your dinner bill. If you’re drinking on Rainey Street, downtown Austin, or even East Austin – just walk over and get a room at Native. It’ll be cheaper than your Uber home. Book your room on ONE:NIGHT, Hostelworld and more.

Native Hostel invited me in a couple of weeks ago to do a staycation and give you guys an exclusive look at the property and amenities. I’ve already been working out the Native during the day before the staycation invite and was a big fan of the concept. I am obsessed with this concept and highly recommend everyone to do a staycation here and experience this experiential hostel. Here’s everything you need to know about Austin’s hottest new luxury hostel.

Native Hostel

NOT YOUR ORDINARY HOSTEL

Hostels get a bad rap for being gross and basically just a place that you need to crash for the night. Native Hostel is situated in a historic 1890s railroader hotel and adjoining mid-century warehouse next to downtown Austin. It’s an experiential hostel that offers a kinetic collision of music, arts, warm beds, sleepless nights, culinary delights and spirits. From the moment you walk in, you can see and experience the charred rafters of the past play roughly alongside the
silky elegance of dark plasters, glass, and cool steel.

No really! I double checked with the staff if it was okay for me to hang out downstairs in my PJs and they said yes.

BEST BURGER + MEZ-CAN MARTINI

Pictured is the tavern burger with pimento cheese, pickled peppers, bibb lettuce on lovefeast bun and waffle fries. Hands down my favorite burger in Austin right now. Wash down that burger with the mez-can martini with orange liqueur, lime, olive, and sea salt lime foam.

The bar and kitchen serves craft cocktails and crave-able diner classics helmed by executive chef Virginia Pharr.
