White Linen Night

2ND Street District’s White Linen Night

The 2ND Street District’s third annual White Linen Night is happening this Saturday, August 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The ticketed block party, benefitting local nonprofit Urban Roots, will feature mouthwatering bites from some of Austin’s favorite restaurants in the 2ND Street District, including Finn & Porter, Bribery Bakery, Bob’s Steak & Chop House and many more. Additionally, there will be palate-pleasing pairings from Texas wineries and breweries, including Spicewood Vineyards, Hilmy Cellars, Karbach Brewing Co., and more.

Eat East

Eat East: Tuesday Night Summer Drink + Appetizer Specials

EAT EAST is a special summer neighborhood restaurant promotion where participating eateries located in Central East Austin will offer a cocktail and appetizer special in the $8 to $10 range on Tuesday nights beginning July 14 through Labor Day.

Created by The Hightower (1209 East 7th Street), EAT EAST is meant to encourage the Austin community to experience the growing restaurant and bar scene of East Central Austin.

TRACE Hosts 4th Annual Ice Cream Social Benefiting SafePlace

TRACE’s popular annual Ice Cream Social returns on Sunday, August 2 from 3-5pm. Free for the whole family, guests are encouraged to ‘earn your scoop’ by bringing a school supply donation for SafePlace’s back-to-school drive.

Pay It Forward with Daniel Curtis

5th Annual Pay It Forward with Daniel Curtis

In its fifth year, the benefit’s goal continues to be raising awareness and money for those with spinal cord injuries. Pay It Forward is returning this summer for what is sure to be an incredible night featuring a vibrant lineup of more than a dozen of Austin’s most celebrated chefs, an open bar with cocktails from Treaty Oak Distilling and The Patron Spirits Company, and a live performance by an original nine-piece Latin Grooves Funk Blues Orchestra, Hector Ward & The Big Time.

Austin Ice Cream Festival

Bring yourself, your friends, your family and even your dog to the 9th Annual Austin Ice Cream Festival and come scream with us. This event will include lots of games, activities, contests and live entertainment as well as what we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Barton Springs Fest

25th Anniversary of the Barton Creek Uprising & 23rd Anniversary of the Passing of the SOS Ordinance

Join us at the Barton Springs Fest to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Barton Creek Uprising AND the 23rd Anniversary of the passing of the SOS Ordinance on Saturday, August 8th. Event is free except for pool entry fee.

We’ll have snorkel tours, hikes, live music, speakers, film and an after party at ABGB. Snorkel Tours and Hikes start at 8am until 11am then we will regroup at 5pm for the live music, film and speakers. After the pool festivities we will gather for an after party from 9:30 until midnight at the ABGB with music by Guy Forsyth!

Antonelli’s Cheese Shop’s Adult Summer Camp Series

This summer, Antonelli’s Cheese House is hosting a series of adult summer camps! The first class will be Sunday, August 16th from 2-4pm. Join Antonelli’s for an amazing hands-on Cordials, Shrubs, and Bitters workshop with local expert Jessica Sanders, co-owner of Drink.Well. Learn how to make cordials, shrubs, and bitters and take home a bottle of spiced cherry shrub! They’ll provide all materials, but if you have your own herbs, produce, or fruit that you’d like to incorporate into the class, feel free to BYO!

This year marks an important milestone for Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In, which is celebrating five years in business this summer as Austin’s one and only drive-in. Reveling in all of its successful glory, the increasingly popular Eastside establishment is giving back with patron appreciation nights and will remain open every Saturday this summer for the first time ever. Throughout the month of August, Blue Starlite invites film lovers to get their fix of summer fun and movies every Saturday before fall arrives with its Saturday Summer Session Series.

To top it all off, guests can enjoy food from local collaborators during Blue’s Saturday Summer Series, including burgers, fries, s’mores… and barbecue from Texas’ oldest and best major Lockhart barbecue restaurant continuously owned by the same family: Black’s Barbecue!
