The Four Seasons Hotel Austin

The Four Seasons Hotel in Austin reopened in August 2022 after a full redesign. The new tea service is called “A-Tea-X” and is available at Live Oak from Wednesday-Friday from 1 – 3 pm. This new tea service offers guests the opportunity to sit inside Live Oak’s comfortable interiors or on its wraparound deck with views of Lady Bird Lake and gardens below. 

In this modern update to our popular afternoon tea, tea-inspired cocktails are paired with small bites ranging from miniature Smoked Brisket Sandwiches and Mango Shrimp Cocktail to bite-sized Chocolate Crunch Bars and Pumpkin Spice Macarons.

Tea time: Wednesday-Friday from 1 – 3 pm

Cost: $62 per person (includes one tea cocktail or pot of hot tea)

The high tea scene sometimes changes so let us know if you’ve discovered something I haven’t yet. I’m always game for high tea a great Austin outing filled with tea sandwiches, charcuteries, scones filled with seasonal jams or local honeycomb what isn’t to love! Note two popular tea houses Fluff Meringues + More on Burnet Road – Guan Yin Tea House over at S I-35 Frontage Road have been permanently closed.

The Steeping Room

Tea time at The Steeping Room is a relaxed affair. With no dress code and prices low for all you can enjoy, there’s never been an easier way to get away from it, all while indulging in some delicious iced or hot teas with friends! Located on North Lamar this simply decorated tea room has a relaxing vibe with a space full of natural light.

They have three tea-time offerings- full tea service $24, a scone set and pot of tea for $12.95, and a children’s tea service for 12.95 with kid choices such as scone, jam, cookies, apple juice, hot coco, lemonade, and, of course, tea.
