Calling all vegans and vegetarians, Citizen Eatery is going to be your go-to spot in Austin. Not vegan or vegetarian but looking for a healthy meal, you’ll love Citizen Eatery like me! Citizen Eatery is a sustainable, plant-based restaurant and bar that serves scratch-made vegetarian and vegan cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Citizen Eatery has 4 veggie burgers that are all made in-house with gluten-free and Paleo bun options. The Paleo burger made with sweet potato, cauliflower, and mushrooms was my favorite. The Texas tumbleweed, which are organic veggie noodles lightly dusted and fried, are very addicting and fun to eat. I can’t wait to go back and try the vegan bolognese with organic veggie noodles, seasoned yuca fries, and vegan parsnip waffle!
WHAT TO ORDER: Bitter’s salad, avocado toast, and Paleo burger with Texas tumbleweed.
THE EARLY TOAST

CHEESY CAULIFLOWER // BUTTERNUT & SWEET POTATO // ROASTED CARROTS
Citizen Eatery has 6 sides that you can choose from: butternut & sweet potato, cheesy cauliflower, roasted carrots, wilted greens, black beans, and side salad. I love that you can pick any 3 sides on one plate for $8.5!
