Sam’s BBQ

Sam’s BBQ was established in 1957 by founder Sam Campbell and then purchased by the Mays family in 1976. This barbecue restaurant in Austin is certainly a landmark that’s even received a $5 million offer by developers that owner Brian Mays turned down. 

The special is a choice of any two types of meat and two sides for $15 or you can order different meats by the pound.

As someone that went to UT Austin, I used to drive by Aster’s all the time and wondered what the food was like. I finally went in a couple of years ago and was so impressed by the food. I want to go back for the lunch buffet in the future.

JP’s Pancake Company is the first pancake food truck in Austin.
