Weekend Brunch At Remedy Dallas

October 09, 2015

Remedy Dallas

We had just spent the day before on Lower Greenville dining at Rapscallion, Gemma, Blind Butcher, and drinks on the HG Sply Co’s rooftop, when we headed back the next day for weekend brunch at Remedy Dallas. This vintage soda fountain-inspired restaurant will brighten up any weekend with it’s classic American cuisine, craft cocktails, pies, and daily sundaes! Remedy even promises health with it’s perfectly crafted cocktail elixirs that enhance beauty, and relieve stress and pain.

Salad for brunch might seem odd but not when it’s topped with succulent pieces of pork belly. The dirty south – buttermilk-fried green tomatoes topped with old bay pickled shrimp – was scrapped clean in minutes. Dallas has a serious fried chicken game that makes Austin look real sad. I’m still dreaming about those crispy fried boneless chicken thighs covered with a sweet spicy sauce over buttermilk waffles. You can’t leave Remedy without getting dessert. The daily sundaes will blow your mind. We devoured the Bob sundae – dark chocolate ice cream, potato chips, caramel, sea salt, whipped cream + a bing cherry. And then finished weekend brunch with a slice of coconut cream pie.

What To Order: Pork belly + watermelon salad, hot chicken & waffles, the dirty south, open-faced beet cured salmon, fountain sodas, bob sundae, and coconut cream pie.
