Gemma Restaurant

I’m a sucker for pretty restaurants so it was no surprise that I instantly fell in love with Gemma in Dallas. Gemma Restaurant reminds me of Josephine House in Austin, one of my favorite restaurants, with its bright and airy ambiance. The marble bar and seaside accent pieces makes you want to pack your bags and head to the Hamptons for the weekend.

We started with the fried Castelvetroano olives and pecans, and roasted baby artichokes with wild arugula, and poached farm egg. Delicious bites accompanied with boozy cocktails like the passionate Peruvian and cucumber & shiso margarita served by good looking bartenders. Chef Richard Graff insisted for us to try the braised rabbit pappardelle with pancetta, Swiss chard, and thyme (a dish that he eats every week), in addition to the duck breast and confit leg. The homemade pasta with slow braised rabbit was delicious!

What To Order: Passionate Peruvian, fried olives & pecans, roasted baby artichokes, and braised rabbit pappardelle.
