Weekend Staycation At Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa

A couple of weekend ago I was invited for a weekend staycation at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, the #1 golf course in Texas. The resort is located only 10 miles from downtown Austin, but it definitely felt like we left Austin! Situated on 4,000 acres in the scenic hills of west Austin, the Omni Barton Creek Resort offers 4 world-class golf courses, 11 tennis courts, 3 pools, 6 restaurants, and spa. Perfect for romantic weekend getaways (and staycations), and family vacations.

The weekend staycation started with a soothing lavender and honey scrub treatment at the spa. My skin has never felt this soft and supple! I relaxed in the jacuzzi and sauna before heading down to the Hill Country Dining Room for the dinner buffet. The night ended with an live music performance by Little Texas.

Saturday started with brunch buffet on the patio overlooking the beautiful golf courses and played a couple rounds of mini golf. The concierge was super nice to give us a tour of the golf courses and resort on a golf cart. We didn’t get to play golf this time but we’ll definitely come back in the future!

Amenities

Free wi-fi
Free parking
Valet parking
Kid friendly
6 Restaurants & bar
3 Pools (indoor & outdoor)
11 Tennis courts
4 Golf courses
Gym
Spa
Pet friendly ($50 fee)

Pros

Plenty of activities for everyone. Golf courses, mini golf, restaurant dining, tennis courts, pools, and spa. There’s also shops inside the resort!

The resort grounds are beautiful! We had a breathtaking view of the scenic hills of west Austin and golf courses from our room.

Cons

Gym isn’t open 24 hours, which was a bummer because I needed to run after dinner.

The rooms and the resort overall feels older, and sometimes the elevators wouldn’t work. Omni does plan on doing a massive renovation in a couple of years.

I would skip the dinner buffet and dine in the 8212 Wine Bar & Grill (their Thai cauliflower with buffalo sauce was SO good). Breakfast buffet was good!
