Table side Fresh Guacamole.
Guacamole does not get any fresher than this.
Big avocados are sliced open right at your tableside and mashed with your choice of condiments. Red onions, parsley, or lime juice. Served with fresh corn tortilla chips.
Chili-Lime Grilled Shrimp.
Grilled to perfection big juicy shrimp dressed with chili and lime. Served over a bed of crispy sweet potato hash brown and creamy avocado sauce.
The combination of crispy sweet potato strings and creamy avocado sauce is incredible. The chef adds a bit of lime juice to the avocado sauce to keep it light and refreshing.
Ancho-Pecan Crusted Lamb Rack.
Hands down, the juiciest and most tender rack of lamb with a savory ancho and pecan crust. Chef says the tenderness really depends on the certain cut of the meat but I believe he has more secrets up his sleeve.
Served with a roasted potato cake that is crunchy and creamy at the same time. Comes with a side of flavorfully grilled succotash and caramelized sweet onion demi.
Grilled New York Steak
Juicy classic New York steak surrounded with a medley of roasted potatoes: sweet potatoes, golden russet, red potatoes, and peruvian potatoes.
A very colorful presentation of orange, yellow, red, and purple. Comes with a side of spiced tomato salsa.
Seasonal Fruit Crisp for Two.
Now when SWB says ‘for two’, they seriously mean for two or maybe three.
The fruit crisp comes in a 8″ by 5″ baking pan. The selection of fruit depends on the season, apple and pear for the fall and fresh berries for spring/summer.
Comes with your choice of whip cream or vanilla bean ice cream that is freshly made in SWB’s kitchen. Freshly made ice cream? I’ll have 2 scoops!
Southwest Bistro offers regional and wood-fired cuisine that delights the taste buds with fresh seasonal ingredients.
With one of the best views of downtown Austin, it’s hard not to just sit back with a glass of wine and soak in the gorgeous view of downtown’s lights reflected on Lady Bird Lake.
The wait staff was very knowledgable of the dishes that are served and are more than willing to offer suggestions. Our waiter was even nice enough to run back and forth to the chef to answer my many questions.
Chef Kevin Dee (winner of Chef Showdown’s People’s Choice Award) utilizes products from local farms to produce tonight’s menu. Pure Luck goat cheese and all other vegetables and meats used in these courses come straight from the farm to your plates. SWB prides itself on sustainability and supporting all local farmers.
