Before & After: Small Space Entryway Storage Makeover

One of my favorite unexpected parts of the IKEA Home Tour renovation was my entryway! Unexpected because I didn’t think there was a solution for my small nonexistent entryway that was a complete mess.

Back of Room POV

BEFORE

Here’s what my space looked like before the IKEA Home Tour Squad helped me out. The mirror leaning against the wall was my failed attempt at trying to make the room look bigger. The kittens that I was fostering at that time actually ended up knocking it over and the glass shattered.

I call that black box the box of doom. Everything goes in and nothing comes out. Searching for my keys and Basil’s leash was always a struggle in the morning.

AFTER

I had no idea that you could mount a mirror to the wall and create hidden, organized storage. Now I can easily find my house, car, and mailbox keys, Basil’s leash, shopping tote, and even my crossbody purse!

Small Entryway Essentials

1. STAVE Mirror

Best hidden storage idea ever.

2. NÖDVÄNDIG Bowl

Made with natural and sustainable bamboo, the NÖDVÄNDIG holds my cash, gift cards, and sharpies.

3. SINNERLIG Plant pot

Love the minimalist design of the SINNERLIG plant pot. The inside is waterproof, and the small feet on the bottom lifts the pot from the surface and prevents condensation from forming.

4. FEJS Wall clock

Modern and simple clock design keeps me mindful of the time before I head out the door.

5. SINDAL Door mat

My shoes are no longer all over the place and stay organized with the SINDAL door matt. Bonus, the latex backing keeps the mat firmly in place.
