A quick dessert, whipped up in minutes. Cool, creamy and naturally patriotic!
Summer berries and cream
I’m going to keep this short and let the pictures speak for themselves. I had a handful of summer berries in the fridge that desperately needed some loving and a carton of organic heavy cream. Surprisingly, I’ve never made berries and cream. But with the ingredients on hand, it was a no brainer. Also because I needed to experiment with my new DSLR. I finally gave in and purchased the Canon 5D Mark II, my third DSLR. I still have my Canon XTI and Canon T2i. These pictures are taken with the 5D with a macro lens, Canon EF 100mm 2.8. I’m thinking about possibly writing a Food Photography 101 post later on this summer. Let me know if you would be interested!
Wash berries and pat dry. Slice if necessary.
You can use ready made whipped cream but homemade is so much better. I swear by it. Organic heavy cream makes a big difference too! I started with a layer of blueberries, whipped cream, strawberries, whipped cream, and then more berries.
