The Victory Cup Polo Match is returning to Austin, Texas this spring to present: “The Victory Cup Derby Day — The Best Derby Party In Texas.” The Derby Day Victory Cup Polo Match will benefit Austinite Matt Mackowiak’s fundraising campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), which raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for research to fight blood cancers.

You will never forget this day! The Derby, Polo, Fashion, Luxury Cars, Wine and a Farm to Table Dinner… and that list is incomplete! Get dressed up and come enjoy several polo matches, then after the matches, watch the Kentucky Derby on a huge Mobile LED Screen on the polo field!

8th Annual American Whisky Festival

8th Annual American Whiskey Festival

Opal Divine’s Penn Field is celebrating the Kentucky Derby on May 7 with it’s 8th Annual American Whiskey Festival. Special derby day festivities will take place during the day before the whiskey festival kicks off at 6 p.m.

Opal’s is starting the day with a derby brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, which is followed by the derby party at 5 p.m. The derby party includes a Ladies Hat Contest, Austin’s Best Mint Julep Competition (featuring a selection of whiskeys from the whiskey festival) and, of course, watching the derby itself.

Derby Day at Trace W Austin

Trace at W Austin will host a Derby Day celebration on its beautiful outdoor lounge. Taking place from 3-6, the restaurant will have its popular outdoor Woody (bar) set up and serving Hudson Bourbon or Rye Juleps in special Julep cups with crushed Ice and julep spoons. (And you are just in time for Daily Happy Hour from 5-7 with $5 Texas spirits, $4 Texas beers, 25% off wine and $7 craft cocktails as well as special nibbles.) TVs will be set up outside so guests can watch the race and Goorin Hats will have a pop-up shop, selling hats perfect for Derby Day. More “themed” surprises expected.
