Taster’s Table Club Dinner Party: Mi Casa es Tu Makhaan
Taster’s Table Club is excited to announce a special dinner party “Mi Casa Es Tu Makhaan” on Sunday, March 15, 2020. The event combines the culinary prowess of Licha’s Cantina Chef Daniel Brooks and 33Tigers Chef Deepa Shridhar, for a night of soulful revelry at Licha’s Cantina.
Guests are invited for a sizzling private party complete with a four-course dinner, mezcal cocktails, passed apps, and a post-feast DJ session. Food offerings draw from the chefs’ Mexican and Indian heritages, moving through delicious flavor profiles like crispy masa empanadas with sauteed hibiscus flowers and bison samosa with tamarind mint aioli to fish with mango mole or mole pipian. Corn truffle risotto de Huitlacoche and stuffed quail with green chile upma set the stage for cardamom and saffron-infused skrikand and flan de coco deserts. Guests are invited to stay and party like a local, dancing and sipping on Licha’s cocktails (with easy access to a bar!!).
Tickets are available to the general public for $100. TTC members may purchase tickets for a discounted rate of $75. Ticket price includes a welcome cocktail, passed appetizers, a four-course dinner, swag bag and access to a cash bar. The full menu can be found here. Ticket sales are capped at 60 dinner guests.
