‘Tis the season for holiday celebrations! The holidays are always crazy every day – all the festivities and people leave town to visit family. So I try to plan intimate get-togethers before the holiday craziness starts like a chocolate and wine tasting party for my girlfriends!

The trick to successful holiday celebrations is to keep them simple – you don’t need to prepare a ton of food or completely redecorate the house. A chocolate and wine tasting party can easily be put together in a couple of hours and my go-to chocolate for the holidays is GODIVA. START WITH THE BEST CHOCOLATE
I’m so excited that GODIVA launched their 16-pc Holiday Desserts Collection for the season! The Holiday Desserts Collection is filled with bite-sized ‘mini cakes’ that were inspired by the most iconic and decadent holiday desserts. This year’s new flavors include Dark Chocolate Pecan, Milk Chocolate Almond Cookie (my fav!), Chocolate Ganache, and Dark Pear Vanilla.
I invited over my girlfriends for a chocolate and wine tasting to celebrate the holiday season – Linda (@lindaeatsworld), Chelsea (@chelseabucklew), and Paige (@paigeydahling). We had so much fun sampling our way through the Holiday Desserts Collection while sipping on red. The Chocolate Ganache and Dark Chocolate Pecan Pie were favorites!
I love the classic red whimsical packaging that was created by British designer, Emily Carew Woodard. Trust me, anyone would be so excited to receive the Holiday Desserts Collection box!
A chocolate and wine tasting party wouldn’t be a party without multiple boxes of chocolates, right? We also helped ourselves to the GODIVA Gold Holiday Ballotin – 19 pieces of assorted gourmet Belgian chocolates. All milk chocolates, dark chocolates, and white chocolates filled with silky ganaches, creamy pralines, caramels, fruits, and nuts.
I’m keeping a box to myself to treat myself this holiday season!
END THE NIGHT WITH HOT COCOA
Every holiday party needs hot cocoa and how cute are these GODIVA hot cocoa toppers?! These hot cocoa toppers from GODIVA are made with dark chocolate and are decorated with Santa or snowman.
I prepared hot chocolate on the stovetop before the party so it would be ready during the get-together. The ladies loved ending the night with a steaming mug of chocolate topped with marshmallows, a peppermint stirring stick, and picking their own Hot Cocoa topper of Santa or snowman.
This chocolate gift set is perfect as a stocking stuffer or even I even like having a couple of boxes at home for the neighbor or friend that pops over this holiday season so I can treat them to a mug of hot cocoa!
SEND GUESTS HOME WITH GIFTS
You can’t send your guests home empty handed! I prepared a little something for everyone to take home that came to the chocolate and wine tasting party. GODIVA’S Holiday Tin Assorted Wrapped Truffles are perfect for stocking stuffers and I personally love having the holiday tin next to the door so guests can help themselves.
I put a couple of GODIVA wrapped truffles into different mugs with hot cocoa mix and a peppermint stick. Everyone went home with a mug and a box of the GODIVA Holiday Desserts Collection!
