WHERE TO EAT, STAY & SHOP IN DALLAS

Dallas, you surprise me. As a fellow Austinite of 8 years and counting, I’m pretty proud of our city and our local restaurants. So when I decided to go for a weekend getaway to the big D, I wasn’t expecting much. But I was blown away by the quality of restaurants, cuisine, and friendly service. And your fried chicken game is on point, Austin you need to step it up.

When in downtown Dallas you have to stay at the best, the W Dallas Victory Hotel! The W offers skyline views of downtown Dallas and is a 3-minute walk from the American Airlines Center and right around the corner from the Perot Museum. It’s also dog friendly!

I stayed in the Marvelous Suite that features a living room and a separate bedroom. The room included two 42-inch LG TVs, wireless high speed internet, a glass-enclosed rainforest shower, and exclusive Bliss lemon + sage Sinkside Six bath amenities.

Amenities include a panoramic infinity edge pool, a full-service spa and a fitness center. There’s also a cool lobby bar, restaurant, and a gastropub, as well as 8 meeting spaces and a 24-hour business center.
