Sharing is caring!

National Vegan Pizza Day.

What is Vegan Pizza Day?
Simply put, Vegan Pizza Day is a celebration of the most awesomest food ever…VEGAN PIZZA! We love it so much, we think it deserves its own holiday.

What’s our goal?
We want to celebrate and spread the word about vegan pizza by eating lots of it and encouraging others to as well. Let’s show the rest of the world what we’ve known for a long time…that vegan pizza is amazing and can be enjoyed by everyone.
We have so many great options today for vegan pizza and it’s time to share this. Let’s convince people through fresh veggies, tasty mock meats and melty vegan cheese that dairy & meat free pizzas can be the best.

From Round Rock to Downtown, from Hyde Park to UT, here’s a listing of some of the best places to get your fill on Vegan Pizza Day The great thing about Austin is there are so many vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants. Here are some of my personal favorites.

Homeslice
1415 South Congress Avenue
Austin, TX 78704

A local pizza joint serving authentic NY-style pizza—by the pie or by the slice—to nice people. They offer homemade, hand tossed, bona fide pies for either dine in or carry out.

My favorite pizza place in Austin. The crust is super thin and crispy and always topped with the freshly ingredients. The Margherita pizza is hands down the best.

Mellow Mushroom
2426 Guadalupe
Austin, TX 78705

Opened by three college students back in day who wanted a different type of restaurant that reflected their eccentric philosophies.

Located right on Guadalupe, this is a popular choice for college students & non college students

Whole Foods – Flagship
525 N Lamar Blvd.
Austin, TX 78703

High quality natural and organic products.

Look at that pizza on the left. Hard to believe it’s the Daiya dairy free vegan pizza. Freshly baked crust with tons of veggie toppings!

Z pizza
200 University Boulevard
Round Rock, TX 78665

A passion for great food with dough made from 100% organic wheat flour prepared fresh every day, hand-thrown and fire-baked until uniquely crisp.

This is one of my favorite pizza places in Austin, especially when they had their downtown location. Funny thing is, I had no idea they were vegan friendly. && their pizza is SO GOOD. I love their crust.
