5 Cozy Meals for Fall

September 05, 2014

Sharing is caring!

We all have our daily routines and Yahoo! Food is part of mine. The website my go-to when I’m needing dinner inspiration!

Yahoo! Food has brought together an all-star team of editors, including Managing Editor Sarah McColl; former Bon Appetit senior web editor, Julia BainbridgeRachel Tepper who joined from Huffington Post Food; and Alex Van Buren, who has written for Bon Appetit, Gourmet, and Martha Stewart Living. Yahoo! Food is also partnering with some of the best publishers in the business to bring you their expertise and ideas, including Bon Appetit, Epicurious, Food52, Martha Stewart and more.

Here are 5 cozy meals for fall starting with Wednesday (because who loves Mondays?), and I really enjoy staying in on the weekends and cooking in my pjs.

5 Cozy Meals for Fall

Ramp Carbonara

Table of Contents

Wednesday

Ramp Carbonara. It’s mid-week, and you want something easy. Try this Ramp Carbonara – what’s better than lots of snowy Pecorino Romano and Parmesan, a full cup of fried panetta, white wine and lemon juice to take the edge off of a interminable week. (via Yahoo).

Thursday

Seafood Stew. Delicate, flaky fish (I like snapper) drink up the deep marine flavors of homemade seafood stock with shrimp, scallops, roma tomatoes, basil and parsley. Add a crusty loaf of bread and I’d call this the perfect pick-me-up. (via Yahoo).

Friday

DINNER Con au Vin. Chicken and wine. So simple, so good. This particular recipe’s charms include its 45-minute cooking time and the always-welcome presence of bacon and mushrooms. (via Yahoo)

Wine Braised Oxtail

Saturday

Wine-Braised Oxtail. One full bottle of red wine (you might want another bottle for yourself) simmered with caramelized pieces of oxtail nestled next to carrots, onions, and celery root.  (via New York Times).

Sunday

Classic Bistro Steak. The classic hanger steak with onion rings lightened up with the addition of watercress and a savory-sweet hazelnut vinaigrette. This is simplicity at its most elegant. (via Bon Appetit).     I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
