Let’s start with brunch in Plano. Prim & Proper is the restaurant inside of the Neighborhood Goods shop at Shops at Legacy. Order a cocktail and shop the store while you’re waiting for your food. I loved the burger with fries and the millennial avocado toast.
Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 4 – 7pm with $2 fries, $5 burger, $5 hummus plate, $6 Millennial toast, $10 cheese board, $3 beer, $5 wine, and $7 cocktails. On the weekends, $3 mimosas and $10 carafes.

TACOS AT TACO DINER
Start your day shopping at The Shops at Legacy and stop into Taco Diner for their happy hour. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 3 – 6pm with $2 pollo, carne, puerco and veggie tacos, $3 pescado tacos, and $6 mambo taxis, palomas and burgers. Thursday is all day $6 mambo taxis and palomas.

OMAKASE AT SHUMI OMAKASE
Shumi Omakase is also at the Shop at Legacy and I was blown away by this restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully designed with an open layout. Normally omakase is a two to three-hour dinner experience but you can have an express omakase at Shumi Omakase for $40 at lunch! Omakase if the chef’s special tasting menu of sushi and sashimi selected from the day’s fresh catch. I enjoyed watching Chef David Seo create each sushi piece behind the bar.

GLASS OF WINE AT SIXTY VINES

TBH I wish we had a good shabu shabu place in Austin so I was really excited to try Yoshi Shabu Shabu. A steaming pot of tonkatsu soup with wagyu beef, pork belly, shrimp, and scallops was the perfect meal. You can pick your own broth and meats.

LEGACY HALL
Plano has their own food hall called Legacy Hall at the Shop at Legacy with 24 artisanal food stalls run by local chefs, along with craft cocktails, beers, and live music! I had a pork belly bao from Enter The Bao and it was so good.

BEEF NOODLE SOUP & SOUP DUMPLINGS AT WU WEI DIN
Wu Wei Din was highly recommended to me by my readers on Instagram and this Taiwanese restaurant was authentic and delicious. We had the spicy beef noodle soup with xiaolongbao (soup dumpings)!

I’m blown away by all these cute dessert spots in Plano! Wow Donuts and Drips is the cutest, Instagrammable donut shop that makes all of their donuts fresh every couple of hours. There are over 120 creative toppings and fillings from classic chocolate old fashioned to glazed cake doughnuts. I had the piña colada donut that comes with a paper umbrella.
