ICYMI – I bought a new house earlier this year and have been remodeling it! It’s definitely been a slow process with the real estate boom in Austin but this was a builder home so I wanted to customize it with the help of Be Unica, a local design firm in Austin.

We started remodeling in March and still have a lot to do but here are some before and afters!

Kitchen
I’ve always wanted a white kitchen so I selected white cabinets and white countertops. The kitchen backsplash would be eventually be replaced with Clay Imports tile so I kept the builder backsplash.
Kitchen Update
I’ve always wanted a white farmhouse sink in my future white kitchen and I can’t believe it’s come true! I selected this 36” matte stone farmhouse flat apron front kitchen sink from VIGO and it’s SO beautiful. We did have to replace the island countertops to install the new sink. To match all the brass fixtures, pulls, and appliances, we selected the VIGO Livingston Magnetic Kitchen Faucet in matte brushed gold.
Master bathroom
The master bathroom is probably my favorite room in the house because of all the natural light that pours in from the window. We’ve completely demoed the bathroom and will be adding Clay Imports tile and a new soaking tub!
Dining room
This is what the original dining room looks like. We’re adding shiplap and banquette bench seating!
