Ladies brunch

I’ve been wanting to have my girlfriends over for a weekend ladies brunch for the longest time but it’s been such a busy year and the thought of cleaning up afterwards has discouraged me. I finally cleared my schedule this past weekend and set up that tabletop griddle that’s been collecting dust in the closet.

Setting up the ladies brunch with Solo Squared cups, snack cupsAnyDay Paper Bowls, and AnyDay Paper Plates kept it stressless and organized but most importantly, an easy cleanup!

1. SET UP ALL OF THE INGREDIENTS

I wanted to do both savory and sweet pancake sandwiches for brunch. Here’s what you need:

WEEKEND LADIES BRUNCH MENU

  • Buttermilk pancakes
  • Breakfast sausage
  • Eggs
  • Smoked salmon
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries
  • Bananas
  • Nutella
  • Almond butter
  • Maple syrup

Wash and cut all the fruit into Solo AnyDay Paper Plates and pour Nutella, almond butter, and maple syrup into different Solo snack bowls. I recommend doing this the night before, especially if you’re having an early morning brunch get together.

For the buttermilk pancakes, I tried several recipes and Bon Appetit’s Best Buttermilk Pancakes were the fluffiest and my absolute favorite. They were so soft and pillowy, definitely will be saving this recipe for the archives. I used the Solo square cups to pour the pancake batter onto the griddle.

2. START COOKING

Chelsea and I took turns making the pancakes and cooking the eggs and breakfast sausage while catching up over holiday mimosas. I just got back from Hong Kong and Europe, and she just started a new job and dating someone new!

The pancakes cook a little faster than the sausages and the eggs so transfer them to the paper plates while you’re making more. I ate my first pancake with butter and maple syrup. So good!

3. BRUNCH TIME!

Chelsea opted for the sweet pancake sandwich with Nutella and strawberries. I’m more of a savory gal so I made a breakfast pancake sandwich with pork sausage, egg, and maple syrup. We made those ombre mimosas with pineapple orange juice and Grenadine.

We had a no-fuss cleanup thanks to Solo!
