Panera Bread’s soup and bread bowls

The weather has turned colder, which means it’s the perfect time for a comforting bowl of soup. Panera Bread offers a variety of hot soups every day in their bakery-cafes, including classic flavors like French Onion and new favorites like Low-Fat Vegetarian Garden Vegetable with Pesto.

Why are Panera’s soups so satisfying and delicious? It starts at the most basic level – with fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients and the “Good Goes In” philosophy of making soup the right way. It’s a simple truth that resonates with customers and gives Panerasoup an extra measure of warmth and goodness.

I was invited by Panera to visit their bakery-Cafe and try out their new line of soups, of which I was very impressed by. My dad and I got the French Onion and the Creamy Chicken with Wild Rice.


French Onion Soup

Sliced onion sautéed in sweet butter and seasonings, gently simmered in a light beef broth with essence of tomato, topped with homemade croutons and Asiago-Parmesan cheese.


Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice

Long grain and wild rice, celery, onion, carrot and diced chicken simmered in chicken broth embellished with cream and select herbs.

 

Check Panera Bread for check out all the soups that they’re serving this week. All soups are served with a slice of their freshly baked sourdough bread. You can get the soups in a regular bowl but I highly recommend getting them in their homemade sourdough bread bowls! At $5, this is a steal!
