Let’s have one more cocktail before the summer is over! This rum cocktail is called the muscle relaxer because well, after a couple of sips and you’ll start feeling relaxed. When I stopped by Green Light Social for the banana coconut rum colada cocktail, Caleb also whipped up this muscle relaxer cocktail with Blue Chair Bay Key Lime Rum Cream and Blue Chair Bay White Rum. This recipe is not to be confused with muscle relaxers and alcohol but a sweet, tropical rummy cocktail that you’ll crave before 5 o’clock.

There may be two rums in this cocktail but trust me, it’s super smooth. Like dangerously smooth, especially with the coconut cream. Shake, add ice, and blend it up for a creamy, and fruity concoction.

 

MUSCLE RELAXER COCKTAIL

Yield: 1 cocktail

Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz Blue Chair Bay White Rum
  • 3/4oz Blue Chair Bay Lime Rum
  • 1/8oz Velvet Falernum
  • 3 dashes of Fee Brothers Cranberry Bitters
  • 1 tablespoon Black Currant Jam
  • 3 oz coconut cream
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients together into a cocktail glass.
  2. Using a bar spoon, stir to combine.
  3. Pour into a blender with ice and blend until smooth.
  4. Garnish with pineapple leaves and Luxardo cherries.
  5. Serve immediately.

1. START WITH BLUE CHAIR BAY RUM

Add 3/4 oz Blue Chair Bay White Rum, 3/4 oz Blue Chair Bay Lime Rum,1/8 oz Velvet Falernum, and 3 dashes of Fee Brothers Cranberry Bitters to a cocktail glass.

2. ADD BLACK CURRANT JAM & COCONUT CREAM

Add 1 tablespoon black currant jam and 3 oz of coconut cream. Use a bar spoon to stir until combined.

3. SHAKE IT UP

Give all ingredients (Blue Chair Bay White Rum, Blue Chair Bay Lime Rum, Velvet Falernum, Fee Brothers cranberry bitters, black currant jam, and coconut cream) a good shake.

4. ADD ICE AND BLEND

Add ice and blend in a blender until smooth.

5. GARNISH

Garnish with pineapple leaves and luxardo cherries! Feel free to add a coconut flake rim if you’re feeling breezy.
