Urban Native Plant Walk with Desert Door

You don’t have to travel to West Texas to wild harvest. Take an urban hike with Desert Door!

Learn about the uses of sotol, turk’s cap, prickly pear, and other native plants, as well as how to ethically wild harvest.

Tickets are $25 per person and proceeds benefit the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation. Guests will enjoy a 30-minute South Austin walk showing how close to home you’ll find Texas plant life that you can incorporate in your day to day life! No hike is complete without a regroup session over cocktails; back at South Congress Hotel, guests are invited to enjoy small bites featuring native plants from the chefs and complementary Ranch Water with Desert Door Texas Sotol.
