The cold weather has been making it hard to get out of bed in the morning, and I wake up craving anything hot and cozy. This brûlée banana oatmeal has been super easy to whip up, and gives a sweet kick to my mornings!

Brûlée Banana Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Almond Breeze Almondmilk Cashewmilk Blend
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, bring the almond milk and rolled oats to a medium boil.
  2. Stir regularly until oatmeal is creamy and hot throughout. About 10 minutes.
  3. Add to serving bowl and top with sliced bananas.
  4. Sprinkle granulated sugar over the bananas. Using a kitchen torch, brown the sugar until golden.
  5. Serve hot with maple syrup!
